Christopher Homes leaders and managers were called to a Day of Reflection led by the Pastoral Care Team. Executive Director, Deacon Dennis Adams, started off the morning with inspiring words about our team’s work as servant leaders in a vital ministry. All were reminded of their uniqueness and gifts that resulted in their call to Christopher Homes.
Sister Judy Zynda followed with inspiring words on how to find balance in life. The role of servant leader, on top of personal responsibilities can be demanding. Sister Judy shared the story of St. Catherine of Siena and her desire to “walk on two feet; love of God and love of all God loves.”
Archbishop Gregory Aymond led the attendees in a prayer service where he expressed his gratitude for the staff’s unending commitment to their residents despite the recent storms in our world. Archbishop Aymond shared the story of St. Christopher carrying Jesus across a river, and noted the purpose of Christopher Homes’ staff is to minister the love of Christ to others. “You bear Christ to others by bringing the Christ in you to others,” said the Archbishop. “And I thank God for you.”
