A spacious craft room attracts many residents at Rouquette Lodge in Mandeville. Some people who live at the facility use the space to make their creations. There are wreaths, floral arrangements, and Christmas trees stacked with oyster shells among the items for sale. There is something for everyone.
Manager Brenda Schouest says that the residents are able to sell their crafts and make money for their resident association. That money is used for activities for the residents at Rouquette.
This wreath, which was made by a resident, is made primarily of pine cones! For more information on how to buy this wreath or any other craft made at Rouquette you can call (985) 626-5217.
