JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and coordinates employees with the repair of electrical, plumbing, ventilation and other building systems; also responsible for evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining what installation or repair services need to be performed. The supervisor organizes schedules, assigns work activity, and performs training to ensure employees have all the requisite skills. Additional responsibilities include developing and implementing maintenance procedures and maintaining personnel records. The Maintenance Supervisor not only delegates work to employees but also participates in various maintenance projects/duties and responds to resident maintenance requests. The individual in this position will be paid a reimbursement allowance for use of his/her cellular phone or other mobile communication device when the device is deemed essential to the performance of the employee’s duties.
